Description: Calibration block for Full Matrix Capture (FMC) and Total Focusing Method (TFM). Ultrasonic data is gathered using the FMC data gathering method, allowing storage of the signal matrix for subsequent processing. TFM, a signal processing algorithm, uses FMC data to focus an ultrasound image at every point, providing optimal resolution. This method is applicable in any ultrasonic application where fault characterization and precise sizing are crucial, enabling highly accurate fault detection.

For systems supporting FMC/TFM, DAKS TOOLS utilizes the FMC Calibration Block to establish primary reference responses. The block features:

• Two side holes, each at least 1.5" deep and 3/16" in diameter.
• The holes span the midline of the block and are spaced apart, center to center, by twice their diameter.
• A hole through the wall.
