Description: The Aluminum Test Block is an aluminum test piece with dimensions of 3 inches by 2 inches by 3/8 inches, with a notch cut into it to allow for side-by-side penetrant comparison. The strength of "in-use" penetrants is evaluated using the test block. One half of the block is processed with a "used" penetrant, and the other with a "fresh" penetrant. Sensitivity of new and old penetrants, or sensitivity of different penetrants, can be compared.
