PDI ALTERNATIVE ASME CALIBRATION TEST BLOCK 3 SET BLOCKS
The Performance Demonstration Initiative (PDI) Procedure Nos. PDI-UT-1, Rev. C, Fig. 4 (Ferritic), and PDI-UT-2, Rev. C, Fig. 4 are followed in the fabrication of PDI Alternative ASME blocks (Austenitic). These cover the standard techniques for ultrasonically inspecting pipe welds made of ferritic and austenitic metal. The blocks provide a cost-effective substitute for constructing several curved calibration blocks (pipe sections) in various diameters and wall thicknesses.
DS CALIBRATION BLOCK INCH VERSION
Block of the AWS type is employed for calibrating longitudinal distance and sensitivity. contains two 4.0" portions separated by a 2.0" high segment. in line with AWS's specifications. Block for AWS and ANSI Type DS calibration. A distinct metric version of the DS block is not specified by AWS. Only the metric counterparts to the standard design are displayed in the metric block in AWS. This single block can thus be used to satisfy inch and metric standards.

Distance Area Amplitude Calibration Blocks Per ASTM E428 For measuring dead zone, sensitivity, distance, and area amplitude linearity, a basic set of ten flat-bottom hole blocks is employed. Metal Travel Distance: 3/64" - 3.0" (3-0300), 5/64" -.12" (5-0012), 5/64" -.25" (5-0050), 5/64" -.75" (5-0075), 5/64" - 1.5" (5-0150), 5/64" - 3.0" (5-0300), 5/64" - 6.0" (5-0600), and 8/64" - 6.0" are among the hole diameters and metal travel distances included in the (8-0600).
ASTM DISTANCE AMPLITUDE BLOCK SET OF 19
Blocks for ASTM E428 Distance Amplitude Calibration Set of 19 flat-bottom hole blocks for measuring the relationship between signal amplitude and metal travel distance (MTD). The flat-bottom holes on every block are the same size, but the MTD varies. When ordering, the hole diameter (3/64", 5/64", or 8/64") must be mentioned. conforming to ASTM E428. includes the certified material test report, Tactic Inc.'s ultrasonic inspection report and response plot, and our NIST traceable dimensional certification report. As mandated by ASTM E127, Section 11, take note that we conduct block characterization using a 5.0 MHz quartz transducer.
